How Do I Order Stonnington Farm Natural Grass Fed Beef?
Stonnington Farm utilizes a USDA processor of beef and sells their high quality beef by the quarter, half, or whole cow.
WHY DOES STONNINGTON FARM SELL QUARTER, HALF, OR WHOLE COWS?
This is the only way to keep costs down. It is not unusual for a grassfed steak to cost over $30/lb. in many markets. If every day, hard working people are going to be able to afford healthy, farm raised, grassfed beef, then it has to be bought in bulk and directly from Stonnington Farm. This does require planning for most families, but when a Stonnington Farm Premium Natural Grassfed cow is butchered for bulk purchase, the price per year will actually be far less than the amount spent for non premium grain fed beef bought in a grocery store over the course of a year.
Intermittently throughout the year, Prime Cuts (e.g. Filets, Ribeyes, NY Strips) will be sold in bulk and available to the individual consumer to buy directly from Stonnington Farm. This intermittent offering will allow the individual consumer to buy the most premium cuts without purchasing the entire cow.
The beef is dry aged for two weeks before final butchering into individually vacuum packed cuts.
A half cow typically fills a 12 cubic foot freezer.
