Stonnington Farm utilizes a USDA processor of beef and sells its high-quality beef by the quarter, half, or whole cow, with some select cuts also available.

Do You Offer Custom Ordering?

Special custom cuts orders require 2 weeks’ notice but most cuts (such as prime cuts, ground beef, roasts, etc.) are available on a weekly basis from the farm. 

Our beef is dry-aged for two weeks before final butchering into individual vacuum-packed cuts.

A half cow typically fills a 12 cubic foot freezer.

Cooking Techniques

At Stonnington Farm, we’ve had the good fortune of tasting lots of grassfed beef from many different producers. We’ve found that grassfed beef usually takes 25-30% less time to cook. You might be used to cooking your steaks 4 minutes per side, but for grassfed beef, you may want to only give it 3 minutes. Better yet, try sous-viding your grassfed steaks or preparing them with a reverse-sear.

Cooking GrassFed Beef

Grassfed, grass-finished beef is delicious, make no mistake about it. We’ve found that many people make the mistake of preparing it the same as your typical grocery store beef that they’re so used to. At Stonnington Farm, we’ve found more often than not, that the difference between a great grassfed steak and a sub-par one all comes down to knowing how to cook it correctly. Our steaks will surely rise to the occasion.
